A big White Whale of a Van beached in my garage ! - Dec'20

After 6 months searching for a Ford Transit, giving up on the used market, and countless trips to the Ford dealership, the whale is finally here !

 

This initial experience felt a bit like...

Crossing fingers that the garage door is tall enough ! 😅


Going with the High Roof Long (not extended) wheelbase Transit 250 was a no brainer. It's the only van in the US that can accommodate my 6'4 height once the floor & roof are insulated, and that fits in a regular parking spot.

 

Wish it had AWD, but $5000 was a bit much...

 

Shooting for a 1.5 year long build process. We'll see how that pans out.

My 2 baguettes ? No chance, seeing the insane requirements (previous post) 😂
